CONFERENCES: Conferences are scheduled to take place November 6-November 9, with NO SCHOOL ON THE 6th and MINUMUM DAY SCHEDULES ON 7, 8, 9 (TK/K dismissed at 11:45, Grades 1-5 at 1:15pm). These conferences are scheduled with your classroom teacher. Why are Parent-Teacher Conferences important?: Parent-Teacher Conferences help promote a positive working relationship between parents and teachers. These conferences demonstrate to your child that you are committed to education and to their school. Conferences typically last 15-20 minutes and your child's teacher will share information on their academic performance. What if my child's teacher expresses concerns?: It is always important to remember that many teachers are parents too, and may have attended similar conferences before. Not only may these meetings be anxiety producers for you, but for your child's teacher as well. There is no need to panic if a teacher expresses a concern. Most students encounter problems at some point in school. Most of these are resolved with some time or program adjustments. Whatever the problem might be, progress will be faster if you work with the teacher to resolve it.
